Set directly on the seafront of Shatti Al Qurum, in one of Muscat’s most prestigious districts, Mandarin Oriental combines the Gulf of Oman with the silhouettes of the Hajar Mountains. French designer Xavier Cartron has developed a contemporary aesthetic strongly inspired by local craftsmanship, traditional Omani motifs and the Sultanate’s maritime history.

The hotel features 103 rooms and 47 suites—150 accommodations in total—all with a balcony offering sea or mountain views. Spaces start at around 70 m² including interior and exterior, while the spectacular 312 m² Royal Suite occupies the top floor with a 75 m² private terrace and panoramic views over the Gulf.

Dining blends international influences with regional heritage: Rawya follows the ancient Silk Roads, Essenza celebrates Italian cuisine, while Sawa Lounge, Sì Breeze, Essenza Bar and Mandarin Cake Shop offer more relaxed atmospheres. Guests in Club categories and suites also enjoy access to the TwoThree58 Club Lounge.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental features eight treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite, a traditional hammam, steam and relaxation areas and sea views.
