The The Peninsula Beijing occupies a prestigious address in Wangfujing, close to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Inaugurated in 1989 as the capital’s first luxury hotel, it underwent a profound transformation in 2017 to combine imperial architecture, Chinese craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Its collection brings together over 800 artworks, complemented by a gallery and studio dedicated to Chinese creation.

The hotel offers 230 suites, with the entry-level categories starting at approximately 60 sqm. The accommodations combine a bedroom, living area, dressing room, marble bathroom, and Peninsula technologies accessible in multiple languages. The Peninsula Suite spans 660 sqm and features a dining room for 18 people, a private kitchen, an office, and a fitness room.

The Peninsula Spa combines contemporary treatments with Chinese practices such as cupping, reflexology, gua sha, and energy therapies. An 18-meter indoor pool, heated to 28 °C year-round, complements the facilities, which include a fitness center, sauna, and steam bath. The calm atmosphere of the spa contrasts pleasantly with the constant bustle of Wangfujing.

Dining is organized around four venues. Jing, a Michelin-starred French restaurant led by William Mahi, offers contemporary cuisine and a private Chef’s Table, while Huang Ting celebrates Cantonese cuisine and dim sum in a setting inspired by traditional homes. The Lobby hosts afternoon tea, and Yun Summer Lounge enlivens the rooftop during the warmer months.
