Why choose this journey
Hyatt on the Bund is ideal for travelers who make the view a central part of their stay. Its panoramic rooms showcase the contrast between historic Shanghai and Pudong’s skyscrapers, while the Bund is just a few minutes’ walk away. Couples will enjoy the city lights at night, the spa, and cocktails at VUE Bar; food lovers can alternate between Cantonese cuisine, Jiangnan recipes, and an international buffet. Above all, the address stands out for its panoramas, generous volumes, and the atmosphere of a major international city hotel.
The Hyatt on the Bund, Shanghai enjoys a spectacular position at the northern tip of the Bund, facing the Huangpu River and Pudong’s futuristic towers. Its two buildings frame some of the city’s most iconic views, bringing together in a single panorama Puxi’s historic façades and the Lujiazui skyline. Built in 2007, the property reopened in the last quarter of 2024 after an approximately eighteen-month renovation.
The hotel features 620 rooms and suites spread across the East and West towers. Ranging from 42 to 300 m², the accommodations have large picture windows that, depending on orientation, look out over the Bund, the Huangpu, the Oriental Pearl Tower, or Pudong’s skyscrapers. Higher categories add a separate living room, Club Lounge access, or a panoramic balcony.
The Miao Spa & Fitness Center includes twelve treatment rooms, hot tubs, cold plunge pools, a sauna, a steam room, and relaxation areas. A 25-meter heated indoor pool allows swimming year-round, while the fitness center uses Star Trac equipment. Altogether, it offers a true restorative interlude after a day spent in the lively central districts.
Dining primarily highlights Chinese and Asian cuisines. VUE Dining serves dim sum and Cantonese specialties facing the skyline, while Xindalu – China Kitchen celebrates the traditions of Shanghai and Jiangnan, notably with its wood-fired roast duck. Aroma offers eight open kitchens, and the VUE Bar, set on the top floors, overlooks both the Bund and Pudong, with cocktails, wines, and champagnes.
