Opened in 1919 under the name Ritz Barcelona, El Palace Barcelona occupies an imposing neoclassical building in the heart of Eixample, just a short walk from Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça de Catalunya. Its majestic lounges, chandeliers and classically inspired furnishings perpetuate the atmosphere of Europe’s grand hotels, without sacrificing contemporary comfort.

The property offers around 120 rooms and suites, combining generous proportions, marble bathrooms, historic details and bright tones. Several Art Suites pay tribute to personalities who marked the hotel’s history, including Salvador Dalí, Joséphine Baker and Ronnie Wood, whose suite brings together works and decorative elements personally selected by the musician.

Gastronomy centres around Amar Barcelona, where chef Rafa Zafra showcases fish, seafood and Mediterranean produce. The Grand Hall hosts afternoon tea, while the Bluesman Cocktail Bar pairs cocktails, spirits and live music in an intimate atmosphere. On the roof, the Rooftop Garden offers dining, a bar and panoramic views over Barcelona.

Covering 1,500 m², the Rooftop Garden features gardens, various terraces and an outdoor pool reserved for hotel guests. The Mayan Luxury Spa completes the experience with massages, facials, rituals inspired by Mayan traditions and a pre-Hispanic sauna, creating a peaceful refuge in the centre of the city.
