Opened in 2015, the hotel notably incorporates Palazzo Confalonieri, once an aristocratic residence, then the headquarters of the municipal tax administration and a bank. The restoration led by <strong>ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel<\/strong> blends Milanese architecture, contemporary lines and Oriental touches around several inner courtyards, including the central garden, which has become one of the property\u2019s signature spaces.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The property has <strong>104 rooms and suites<\/strong>, divided between 68 rooms and 36 suites and junior suites. Each accommodation features a different layout, with views over the inner courtyards, rooftops or the surrounding historic streets. Interiors designed by Antonio Citterio favour oak parquet flooring, wood panelling, bespoke Italian-made furniture, neutral colours and spacious marble bathrooms. The most prestigious categories include the <strong>Fornasetti Suite<\/strong>, decorated with original pieces by the Milanese creator, the Designer Suite inspired by Gio Ponti, and the 150 m\u00b2 Presidential Suite, featuring a private kitchen, dining room and a hammam integrated into its bathroom. Several rooms and suites can be connected to accommodate families or groups.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Milan<\/strong> spans 900 m\u00b2 and draws on the five elements of feng shui philosophy: fire, earth, wood, metal and water. It includes six treatment rooms, including two double cabins, a room dedicated to Thai massage and a Spa Suite with a private vitality pool. A heated indoor pool, a Technogym-equipped fitness centre, saunas, steam baths, a beauty studio and a hair salon complete the facilities. Treatments combine Mandarin Oriental\u2019s signature protocols with brands such as Subtle Energies, Biologique Recherche and 111Skin.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gastronomy is led by chef <strong>Antonio Guida<\/strong>. The Seta restaurant holds <strong>two Michelin stars<\/strong> and offers contemporary Italian cuisine enriched by Mediterranean, French and Asian influences. Meals are served in a glass-walled dining room, in a planted courtyard during the warmer months, or at the Chef\u2019s Table open to the kitchens. More relaxed, the <strong>Mandarin Garden<\/strong> accompanies the different moments of the day with Italian and Milanese specialities, sharing plates, signature cocktails, aperitivo, music and lively evenings.
