This enclosed 4.5-hectare park, one of Florence’s largest private gardens, features lawns, statues, fountains, centuries-old trees and shaded pathways. The hotel thus offers the peaceful atmosphere of an urban resort while remaining approximately fifteen minutes on foot from the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery and the main monuments of the historic center.

The property comprises 121 rooms and suites, including 76 rooms and 45 suites, distributed between the two palaces. The interiors designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon combine period furniture, precious fabrics, marble, artworks and contemporary comfort. Several accommodations preserve original frescoes, vaulted ceilings and architectural elements linked to the history of ancient Florentine families. The most prestigious suites offer vast reception spaces, marble bathrooms, views over the gardens or Florence’s rooftops and, for some, a remarkable perspective of the Duomo.

At the heart of the garden, the Four Seasons Spa occupies an independent 791 m² building comprising ten treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam bath, relaxation areas and a private suite designed particularly for couples. The rituals draw inspiration from Tuscany and call upon local houses such as the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. A seasonal outdoor pool, a year-round heated whirlpool, a fitness center, walking paths and children’s activities complete this offering, particularly appreciated during the warmer months.

Gastronomy is overseen by Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini. The Il Palagio restaurant, awarded one Michelin star, combines Florentine flavors, Italian products and contemporary cuisine in the salons of the Palazzo della Gherardesca or on its terrace overlooking the gardens. The Atrium Bar offers cocktails, afternoon tea and aperitivo beneath a glass roof, while Bar Berni, Onde and the seasonal Trattoria Al Fresco allow for varied experiences between vermouths, seafood cuisine, pizzas and grilled dishes by the pool. The hotel also holds three Michelin Keys, the highest distinction awarded to establishments selected by the Guide.

The Four Seasons Hotel Firenze brings together the Palazzo della Gherardesca, built in 1473, and the Palazzo del Nero, two historic buildings separated by the spectacular Giardino della Gherardesca.
