Meetings, visits, and new opportunities on the shores of the Bosphorus

Istanbul has long held a unique place on the international tourism map. At the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the city blends heritage, lifestyle, and modernity, driven by a particularly dynamic luxury hotel offering.

It was in this context that LCI-MTC Group recently spent three days meeting its hotel partners in Istanbul. Led by Jean Louis Gibon, President & CEO, accompanied by Vera Guven, Contracting Manager Turkey, this trip had a clear objective: to deepen existing relationships, gain a better understanding of the products, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

Istanbul, a destination in motion

Three days of meetings and visits

These days provided an opportunity to reconnect with several major players in Istanbul’s high-end hospitality sector and to exchange ideas directly with their sales teams.

The program notably included visits to the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, the Shangri-La Bosphorus, and the Swissôtel The Bosphorus Istanbul.

LCI-MTC Group would also like to extend special thanks to The Peninsula Istanbul and the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus for their welcome and the exceptional quality of the stays provided during this visit.

Each establishment possesses its own identity, atmosphere, and vision of hospitality. Discovering them firsthand allows us to go far beyond a simple sales presentation and truly grasp the experience that will subsequently be offered to travelers.

Knowing the product to better showcase its value

In tourism, and particularly in the luxury segment, a commercial relationship is not just about a rate grid or a few contractual conditions.

Hotel visits allow for the discovery of rooms, common areas, dining, and services, but also provide a better understanding of each establishment’s positioning and clientele. Above all, they offer the chance to engage directly with local teams regarding international market expectations and evolving demand.

For LCI-MTC Group, this on-the-ground knowledge remains essential.

Knowing the establishments personally allows us to present them more effectively, advise partners better, and build more relevant and competitive offers.

These meetings are also an opportunity to discuss new commercial possibilities, develop shared ideas, and identify products likely to meet the future needs of the group’s agencies, tour operators, and international partners.

Human relationships at the heart of contracting

Technology now plays an indispensable role in tourism distribution. Connectivity, real-time availability, and digital solutions have profoundly transformed the way hotels are sold and booked.

But behind these tools, human relationships remain one of the foundations of tourism.

Taking the time to meet teams, discuss markets, understand their priorities, and discover their establishments creates a proximity that no platform can fully replace.

It is also what allows an existing commercial relationship to be transformed into a true partnership.

Each visit brings a better understanding of the product, but above all, new ideas and new possibilities for collaboration.

Beyond the professional meetings, these three days also confirmed Istanbul’s dynamism as a high-end destination.

Between historic establishments, new addresses, and major international groups, the offering continues to evolve and diversify. For travelers, this richness now allows for the discovery of Istanbul’s many faces: the Bosphorus, historic palaces, contemporary neighborhoods, and a particularly vibrant gastronomic and cultural scene.

For tourism professionals, this evolution also creates new programming possibilities and new experiences to offer clients.

Meetings that open new perspectives

These three days spent in Istanbul perfectly illustrate LCI-MTC Group’s approach: staying as close as possible to its partners, maintaining direct knowledge of products, and continuing to develop its network through lasting relationships.

Because behind every visit lies a potential new idea, a new product, or a new collaboration.

Transforming connections into collaborations, collaborations into opportunities, and opportunities into growth: that is the true value of these on-the-ground meetings.
