The Hyatt Regency Tokyo enjoys a strategic position in Nishi-Shinjuku, facing the green spaces of Shinjuku Chuo Park and in the immediate vicinity of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government headquarters. Opened in 1980 as the first Hyatt hotel in Japan, it is just a one-minute walk from Tochōmae Station and around a nine-minute walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station. In 2025, the property completed the most significant transformation in its history, renovating more than 90% of its rooms and thoroughly modernising several public areas.
The hotel offers 712 rooms, including 18 suites and 34 studios, across a wide range of categories with views over the park or Shinjuku’s urban skyline. The new interiors combine clean lines, light wood, textured textiles, terrazzo bathrooms and references to Japanese artisanal techniques. Rooms start at 24 m², while the Deluxe, Club, Studio and Suite categories provide more space, deep soaking tubs, sitting areas and, for certain studios, a family-friendly layout accommodating up to four guests.
The Joule Spa & Wellness offers massages, facials and body rituals, with views that can extend as far as Mount Fuji when conditions allow. The property also features a fitness room equipped with Life Fitness machines and a Regency Club Lounge reserved for Club rooms and suites, offering breakfast, tea service and evening cocktails overlooking Shinjuku Chuo Park. Its 18 lounges and event spaces also enable it to host meetings, conferences, receptions and private celebrations.
Dining brings together several complementary worlds. Crossroads Kitchen, launched after the renovation, features open cooking stations and a cuisine blending Japanese, French and Chinese influences. Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar reinterprets the codes of the urban lounge and notably hosts an afternoon tea created with Pierre Hermé Paris. The offering also includes the Chinese cuisine of Jade Garden, the whiskies and spirits of Eau de Vie, as well as Japanese specialities, Edomae sushi and teppanyaki at Shinjuku Nadaman.

The renovation completed in 2025 has significantly modernised the rooms, some of which now offer layouts genuinely suited to families and beautiful panoramic views. Couples will appreciate the Park View rooms, the spa and the various restaurants, while business travellers will benefit from the Club Lounge and the many meeting spaces.
