The Mazzarò Sea Palace occupies an exceptional position directly on the shores of Mazzarò Bay, on Sicily’s Ionian coast. Unlike hotels located on the heights of Taormina, the establishment descends to a private beach club, allowing guests to enjoy the sea without leaving the property. Isola Bella is nearby, while the lower station of the cable car connecting Mazzarò to the historic center of Taormina is just a few minutes’ walk away. Entirely redesigned by the Milanese studio De.Tales, the hotel offers 68 rooms and suites, all facing the sea and extended by a terrace. The new interiors are inspired by aristocratic Sicilian residences, combining contemporary lines, natural hues, organic-shaped furniture, handcrafted ceramics, and lava stone details. The sand, earth, and blue tones directly recall the colors of the bay. Six suites feature a private pool, offering more privacy for couples, honeymooners, or families seeking generous outdoor spaces facing the Ionian Sea.
The private beach is at the heart of the experience, with sun loungers, umbrellas, and hotel service right by the water. A panoramic pool, a solarium, and a fitness room complete the outdoor facilities. The Hyd’Or wellness center offers massages, facials, and body rituals using ingredients linked to the Sicilian territory. The concierge can also organize private excursions to Mount Etna, discoveries of the Alcantara Gorges, tastings at wine estates, yacht trips along the coast, or panoramic helicopter flights.
Dining is overseen by Chef Riccardo Fazio and highlights Sicilian products, Mediterranean fish, and the flavors of Mount Etna.
