Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz
Thermal heritage, skiing on the doorstep, and contemporary alpine luxury.
An exceptional
escape
Why choose this journey
For its particularly successful blend of a historic grand hotel, a vast alpine resort, and immediate access to the slopes. Its large number of suites and residences makes it especially well suited to families and extended stays, while its immense spa, renewed dining scene, and evening experiences give it a more vibrant, contemporary character than many traditional alpine palaces.
Set at the foot of the Signalbahn, with privileged access to the Corviglia and Corvatsch ski areas, the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski occupies an imposing historic building dating from 1864. Built near the famous Mauritius spring, which helped give rise to spa tourism in St. Moritz, it now combines Belle Époque heritage, contemporary elegance, and immediate access to the landscapes of the Engadine.
The property offers 205 rooms, suites, and residences, including 61 suites and 44 spacious Alpine Suites and one- to five-bedroom residences. The interiors favour an elegant, light-filled alpine style, while the Tower Suites occupy the hotel’s two iconic towers and feature panoramic terraces with 360-degree views of the peaks.
The culinary offering has been extensively renewed with Neora, the Engadine’s first contemporary Greek restaurant, Crazy Pizza, and the Grand Restaurant Les Saisons. Quintessence – Bar & Lounge extends the experience with cocktails and afternoon tea, while BILLIONAIRE St. Moritz combines dinner, shows, and a club in an unmistakably glamorous atmosphere.
The 2,800 m² Alpine Spa is the property’s other defining signature, with heated indoor and outdoor pools, four saunas, hammams, cryotherapy, fitness facilities, and personalised treatments. Ski-in/ski-out access, an in-house ski school, cross-country trails directly accessible from the hotel, and a Kids Club from age 2 also make it a particularly comprehensive address for families and alpine sports enthusiasts.
