Opened in 1988, Amanpuri is Aman’s very first property and remains one of Phuket’s most iconic addresses. Set on a private peninsula on the west coast, in the heart of an ancient coconut grove overlooking Pansea Beach, it has, for nearly four decades, cultivated a vision of luxury rooted in calm, space and utmost discretion.

The architecture by Ed Tuttle, inspired by the traditional lines of the former capital of Ayutthaya, has become a true Aman signature. The estate features 40 pavilions and 40 villas, scattered among the palms and connected by stone walkways and staircases. The pavilions offer expansive terraces, some with private pools, while the one- to nine-bedroom villas provide pools, reception areas and particularly personalised service.

The culinary journey spans Thailand, Japan, Italy and the Mediterranean: Buabok celebrates southern Thai cuisine, Nama focuses on sushi and sashimi, Arva offers Italian cuisine, and Nura sits directly on the edge of Pansea Beach. Sunset Terrace and several private experiences also make it possible to dine or enjoy a drink as the sun sets over the Andaman Sea.

The Holistic Wellness Centre is another cornerstone of the resort, combining a spa, personalised programmes, yoga, Pilates, Muay Thai, hydrotherapy, an infrared sauna and fitness. Four tennis courts, water sports, and spaces dedicated to children and teenagers round out an exceptionally rich offering, without ever turning Amanpuri into a large, lively resort.
