It is an especially strong choice for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, or an ultra-luxury stay where the panorama is an integral part of the experience.
Set on the top eleven floors of a 48-story tower in the Financial District, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero offers some of the city’s most spectacular hotel views. Depending on the orientation, the windows reveal the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, the Transamerica Pyramid, the bay, or the city hills. The Ferry Building, Chinatown, Jackson Square, and the Embarcadero are all within walking distance.
The hotel has only 155 rooms and suites, giving it a far more intimate atmosphere than most major downtown addresses. Located on the upper floors, the accommodations combine natural wood, contemporary design, deep soaking tubs, and immense windows. Some Specialty Suites feature private terraces—particularly rare in the city—with panoramas over the skyline and the bridges.
On the ground floor, Orafo offers Italo-California cuisine inspired in particular by Tuscany and Calabria, with homemade pasta, products imported from Italy, and seasonal ingredients sourced from Northern California. The elegant yet relaxed ambiance suits breakfast and lunch as well as dinner and cocktails.
The hotel features a bright 24-hour fitness center with Precor and Hoist equipment, Peloton, and yoga gear available in-room. Sky Flow Yoga sessions are also held on the 40th-floor outdoor terrace when weather permits. However, there is no large pool or traditional on-site spa: the wellness experience focuses more on fitness, movement, and customizable treatments.
