For its rare blend of a historic grand hotel and a truly intimate refuge. With only 60 accommodations, all facing the lake, three Michelin Keys, a double-starred restaurant, and a vast panoramic spa, the Carlton offers a highly exclusive experience without the sometimes imposing atmosphere of large Alpine palaces. Its winter-only opening further heightens the feeling of a confidential address dedicated to Saint Moritz under the snow.

Perched above Lake Saint Moritz, the Carlton enjoys a spectacular panorama of the Engadine and the surrounding peaks, while remaining close to the resort center. Opened in 1913, this historic grand hotel now cultivates a much more intimate atmosphere than its monumental facade might suggest, with interiors reimagined by designer Carlo Rampazzi.

The hotel features only 60 rooms and suites, all south-facing and opening onto the lake and mountains. The generous volumes and decor, blending classical references, bold colors, and contemporary furniture, reinforce its unique character. At the pinnacle of the offering, the 386 m² Carlton Penthouse Suite is among the largest suites in Saint Moritz.

Gastronomy is one of its major hallmarks. Da Vittorio – St. Moritz, led by the Cerea family and Chef Paolo Rota’s team, offers Italian cuisine awarded two Michelin stars and 18 GaultMillau points. The Grand Restaurant, credited with 16 GaultMillau points, focuses on local products and inspirations from the Engadine nature, while the Bel Etage and the terrace host afternoon tea and more relaxed moments facing the panorama.

The Carlton Spa spans 1,200 m² over three levels, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, hammams, treatments, fitness, and yoga. The experience extends to the slopes thanks to the shuttle to Corviglia and the Outdoor Butler, who organizes personalized adventures in the Engadine. A Kids & Teens Club also welcomes children from age 3.
