Hiroshima — Memory, Resilience & Sacred Island

Hiroshima holds a special place in contemporary Japanese history. Rebuilt and forward-looking today, the city soberly preserves the memory of the 1945 events around the Peace Memorial Park and its museum.

However, this stop also allows for the discovery of Miyajima, one of Japan's most famous images. The immense torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine appears to float on the sea at high tide, at the foot of an island covered with forests and roamed by deer.
